Vera Wangโs future is bright at the 2025 Met Gala.
The fashion designer attended the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s annual Costume Institute Benefit in New York City May 5โco-chaired this year by Colman Domingo, A$AP Rocky, Lewis Hamilton, Pharrell Williams and Vogueโs Anna Wintourโin a red carpet look that blocked out the haters.
The 75-year-old attended her third consecutive Met Gala in a feather-covered white dress with a plunging neckline. She also debuted a new hairdo, swapping her signature long hair for a shoulder-length chop with fringe bangs. She completed her stealth look with a pair of square-framed sunglasses.
And while Vera has certainly established herself as a staple in the fashion world, she has made it a point to address the oft-discussed topic of her age.
โIโm confronted with a bit of a moment now where so much has been said about my aging,โ she told Elle in 2023. โI just hope that it doesnโt supersede my work. It brings up the issue of ageism, and I donโt want to be pigeonholed. We pigeonhole women that are pregnant, small, tall, athletic.โย
