Tom Brady‘s family game plan will have you seeing double.

Nearly two years after the former NFL quarterback’s beloved dog Lua died, he revealed that his new pup Junie is a clone of his former pet thanks to the help of biotech company Colossal Biosciences.

“I love my animals,” Tom shared in a Nov. 4 press release obtained by People. “They mean the world to me and my family. A few years ago, I worked with Colossal and leveraged their non-invasive cloning technology through a simple blood draw of our family’s elderly dog before she passed.”

The companyโ€”which also announced its acquisition of biotech company ViaGen Pets and Equineโ€”was able to give the 48-year-old’s family, as Tom put it, “A second chance with a clone of our beloved dog.”

“I am excited how Colossal and Viagen’s tech together can help both families losing their beloved pets,” Tomโ€”who adopted Lua with his now-ex-wife Gisele Bรผndchen in 2014โ€”added, “while helping to save endangered species.”
