Raegan Revord, Young Sheldon Star, Comes Out as Nonbinary

It doesn’t take a genius to see thatย Raegan Revord is living their authentic self.

The Young Sheldon alumโ€”who played Missy Cooper, the younger twin of Iain Armitage‘s titular characterโ€”confirmed that they identify as nonbinary, sharing how their personal journey has become a full circle.

“Itโ€™s so cool because growing up, whenever I would see a celebrity or whoever come out as nonbinary or queer, I was like, โ€˜Oh my god, this is so cool, I see myself in you,โ€™โ€ Raegan told Entertainment Tonight. ” Itโ€™s so crazy to have that experience where Iโ€™m now that person and there might be a kid somewhere whoโ€™s like, โ€˜Oh my god, I see myself in you.'”

The 17-year-old added, “And thatโ€™s such an insane thing ’cause I was in that kidโ€™s shoes at some point in my life.”

Representation is also why Raegan wrote a queer love story as their debut novel. Released on Sept. 2, Rules of Fake Girlfriendsย follows a college student who gets mixed up in a fake dating scheme.
