Jaime King is clearing the air about some of her legal troubles.
The Sin City actress broke her silence over a lawsuit her former landlord filed in January, which alleged that she owed roughly $42,580 in back rent.
“The situation with my landlord was resolved privately,” King told Us Weekly on March 24. “It’s disappointing—but not surprising—to see someone try to exploit this moment for attention. I am currently focused on what matters most: my children.”
King shares sons James, 12, and Leo, 10, with ex-husband Kyle Newman. Recently, the 45-year-old was ordered by a California judge to complete a six-month rehab program—which includes in weekly testing and aftercare—and a 26-week parenting program as part of a new custody agreement with the father of her children.
Newman—who was married to King for 13 years before their 2020 breakup—has been awarded sole primary custody of the kids as King finishes the requirements, per court documents obtained by E! News. King will only be allowed supervised visitation with the kids three times a week.
