Intelโs new CEO Lip-Bu Tan seems ready to get right to work to turn around the struggling company.ย
The semiconductor giantโs new executive is considering sweeping changes for the companyโs chip manufacturing and AI strategies, according to Reuters, including cutting middle management staff and revamping the companyโs approach to manufacturing chips. Tan reportedly told company employees that he would need to make โtough decisionsโ to get the company back on track.ย
Tan was announced as Intelโs new CEO last week. He rejoins the company on Tuesday after exiting Intelโs board in August 2024 over clashes with Intelโs former CEO Pat Gelsinger.ย
Intel declined to comment.
