One glimpse is all it takes to appreciate Calvin Harris’ new look.
The music producer traded his usual coiffed hair and light stubble for a much scruffier appearance in a photo shared on Instagram March 10. The pic, taken in a lush forest, featured Calvin sporting dirty blonde, shoulder-length hair and a full beard as he kept warm in a beige henley shirt and green jacket.
In the caption of the rugged snap, the 41-year-old also hinted at a musical makeover of sorts, teasing a new song titled “Smoke the Pain Away.” The track, which is set for release March 14, seemingly marks Calvin’s foray into country music, based on a previous teaser posted on social media.
“Wide awake in a hotel room / Thinkin’, ‘Oh, what I could do,’” he sang in a clip on Instagram March 5 while strumming an acoustic guitar. “Too late, I’ve been up for days / I can’t even see straight / No, I can’t smoke the pain away.”
