Thomas Rhett knows how to smile through the pain.
Ahead of his surprise appearance during Forrest Frankโs concert at Nashvilleโs Bridgestone Arena April 13, the country star took a tumbleโand ended up leaving the venue in a wheelchair.
“Every now and then you just have to sing at a Forrest Frank concert and break your ankle in the process,” Thomas joked in an April 15 Instagram video. “I gave my all for Tennessee tonight.”
In the video, Forrest can be seen surprising fans when he introduced his โNothing Elseโ collaborator mid-show, saying, โI canโt sing Thomas Rhettโs verse, right?โ
The camera then panned to a nonchalant Thomas sitting in an empty section of the arena to the side of the stage. But as he made his way down the steps, he could be seen tripping and twisting his ankle before making a quick recovery.
Still, he limped onto the stage and gave an energetic performance, jumping up and down despite the pain. But just moments after he left his all on the stage, his wife Lauren Akinsโwho shares daughters Willa Gray, 9, Ada James, 7, Lennon Love, 5, and Lillie Carolina, 3, with the singerโended up pushing him around the arena in a wheelchair.
